I am always on a quest to find simple STEAM projects for kids that not only teach them about electronics, but also creativity. These glowing mushrooms are a perfect combination of the two. The circuit is as simple as a circuit can be. Making the mushroom requires no gluing, cutting or folding. It is simply a matter of modelling a piece of transparent paper to your own liking.
If you make this with a group of kids, you can create a little fairytale garden with all the mushrooms. I use white LEDs, but remember that you can also use any coloured LED!
Facts about the Project:
Recommended age: 7 years and older
Skill level electronics: easy
Skill level paper crafting: easy
